He shoots and scores!

Well, the run is over. The Wild were officially eliminated from the playoffs by one of the hottest playoff goaltenders in recent memory. They at least scored a goal in the fourth game, but it wasn't enough. The ride was enjoyable and the buzz it created was electric. I hadn't had that much fun watching the playoffs since the Penguins last playoff run in 2001.

Getting ready for my vacation to the big exciting state of Iowa! I know, what's so great about Iowa? Well, not a lot of things, but my uncle Mike (we'll just call him IowaMike!) lives down there. For those of you who don't know, my uncle Mike is my best friend and we just have a blast together. We are only 13 years apart so he really doesn't seem like an uncle to me. We are so much a like it is scary, right down to the body size and everything! I wasn't going to go down since I had to take time off for my other uncle's (Mike's brother) funeral. But Mike said I had to come because he still was going to take the week off like he planned and that I better get my ass down there! Well, no need to twist my arm. Getting my golf game, and liver, ready for a full week. Leaving on Friday and coming back the following Friday for the first of three straight weekends of grad parties. Should be fun.

Side note: About a month before the baseball season started I made a prediction....Cubs (my favorite team)-Twins (Kristin's favorite) World Series. I know it's early, but as of right now........Cubs- 2-1/2 game lead in NL Central Twins- 1/2 game out of first. You never know!!
