I've got to get something off of my chest in regards to the whole Sammy Sosa deal. This whole thing has really changed my opinion, not about Sammy Sosa, but about the media. I now agree with our former governor, Jesse Ventura, when he called the media "a bunch of jackals". All the good Sammy Sosa has done for the game of baseball and the communities of Chicago and his homeland Dominican Republic has all been wiped out by what was obviously a mistake. The media just won't let up on this whole ordeal. Sosa stood in front of the camaras like a man and said he was guilty. But guilty of an honest mistake. Sosa looked like he was going to cry when he was talking about the whole ordeal. You could tell he felt alot of remorse, which leads me to believe him when he said it was a mistake. He just can't fully convey that remorse into words since english is his second language. This isn't an Albert Belle deal where he kept denying it until the bat in question was finally found after somebody tried to sneak into the locker room and steal it. I feel Sammy was proven right when the other 76 bats he had were checked and were found to be cork-free. I think they should take the six bats of his that are in the Hall of Fame and show that they are cork-free as well. Should he be suspended, yes. He broke the rules and deserves to be suspended. But one of baseball's true heroes should not be sentenced to the "media death penalty".

Pat, I've got another "economy beer" for your list:

Busch Light (Muscatine, Iowa)

30 packs for $11.99

Although it was the beer I was "weened" on when I was in my younger drinking days, I have since found the wonders of Budweiser. But every time I go down to Muscatine I find myself drinking Busch Light. Price for one, but it also happens to be my uncle's favorite beer. I figure since it's an Anheiser product, it's still worth drinking. Mike and I went through our share of 30 packs last week!!

Still haven't unpacked from vacation. Probably because we will be gone each of the next two weekends due to graduation parties.

Rusty Wallace fans......we are everywhere!

Back from vacation. Good time had by all. Got to hit the links. Did not shoot very well, but better than I thought I would for the first time out. My uncle had the week off too so we didn't even know what day it was until Thursday!! Got a bunch of geneology research done as well so I had a pretty busy week! Back to the daily grind playing catch-up from my week off. Realized how much my fellow co-workers annoy me after being away from them for a week!!
