I know, I know....it's been WAY too long since I last posted. Just too much has been going on this summer. Getting ready to head up north again this weekend after being up there last weekend as well.

Last weekend was our annual "Gnome Weekend" at a buddies cabin on Pelican Lake in Orr, MN. Now, what is behind the name you may ask......We started having a horseshoe tournament four years ago. We didn't have trophy for the winner so we looked around the cabin and found a ceramic gnome statue that we figured would be the trophy. So the name kind of stuck. Didn't win the tournament, but everybody conspired against the winner and gave him a beer dousing while the timer was set on a camara. Picture turned out perfect!

Movies.....saw the Pirates of the Caribbiean a couple of weeks back. Liked it. Johnny Depp did a really good job. Effects where good as well. Next up T3.

Really excited about Madden 2004 coming out. Found a preview of the game online and they did some major tweeking to the Franchise mode. It's now called Owner mode. Besides all the duties on the Franchise mode of 2003, you now have owner duties such as deciding tickets prices and such to help make money for the team. Should be very interesting. Of course, if I buy Madden 2004, then I have to go out and get NCAA Football 2004 to go with it. I always buy these two together because you can export the draft class from the college game into the Madden game for your drafts. Really cool!

Going to go watch the Vikings practice against the Kansas City Chiefs next week. For those of you who don't know, the Chiefs camp is in River Falls, WI, my former alma mater. Every year, the Vikings come to town for two days and the teams practice against each other. I like it because there is always a fight!!
