GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......
That's about all I can say to sum up my day today. Needless to say my first experience at a Vikings game was a complete dissaster. Of course, I wasn't there to cheer on the Vikings today. Any other day I would have been, but not against the 49'ers. Well, the Niners laid an egg against the Vi'queen's 35-7. Moss lit up the Niner's secondary and Jeff Garcia had probably his worst game as a 49er. Yes the offensive line has three, count em, three backups in the game which didn't help. But when he had time to throw, he was constantly misfiring on his throws. Terrell Owens blew up again on the sidelines. This time I totally agree with him. Everybody played like crap. He is totally frustrated as am I. Mark my words, he won't be a 49'er next year. I doubt he resigns with this team.
Now on to the good things...
Pennant fever is hitting the Lemke household this week. Both the Twins and the Cubs won their divisions and will open up the divisional series on Tuesday. Twins-Yankees, Cubs-Braves. Actually can't wait.
Florida St. is up to #5 in the rankings. Off week this coming weekend before the big matchup against Miami on the 11th.
And of course, 12 more days until the drop of the puck for the Penguins :)
Spent Friday watching high school football in New Richmond, WI. It was fun to watch, but New Richmond got pounded in their homecoming. They kind of had a reason to play flat though. Their starting QB, who just happens to be their best player, the starting point guard on the basketball team, and the stud of the golf team (if there is such a thing!), came to school last Tuesday drunk out of his mind. He was caught and blew a, get this.....0.22!! Now that takes some skill. Suspended from school and suspended from ALL school sports for the rest of the year. He's a senior so he's done. No common sense. I would give my right pinky finger just to play football again, and this kid takes it all for granted and throws it away. He not only screwed himself over, but his teammates as well. One day he will look back on this and regret it. I guarantee it.
