UUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. Up 3-1 in the series. Up 3-0 in the top of the 8th in Game 6. Only to have this happen. Truely very heart breaking for me. I was wanting this very badly. If not me for, for my late uncle Tom. Tom was killed in a car accident back in April and was probably the biggest Cubs fan I've ever known. He was buried in a Cubs jersey and hat. This post season wasn't like the last time the Cubs where in the playoffs (98). Then they didn't have a chance. But this team was different. This team gave us Cubs fans hope that the curse was finally going to be lifted. Even though Prior and Wood finally gassed out, ultimately what did this team in was it's major weak point all season.....the bullpen. Wood and Prior had to pitch WAY too many innings this year because the bullpen was shaky at best. This team will not go anywhere unless the Cubs spend some money on middle relief.

Well......on to hockey now I guess. SF isn't going anywhere in the NFL this year. FSU lost it's game against Miami (although they are still ranked 7th). I'm not much of a basketball fan although the T-wolves do look promising. But time to switch into full-on hockey mode. Even though the Pens probably won't contend for a playoff spot, it will be very fun to watch this very young team grow and mature. Especially the young goaltender MA Fleury. Even though I didn't agree with the pick in the draft, he does look like he may be the real deal.

Oh, Lally.......once you start running the option in NCAA 2004, you might join me in saying it's the greatest game out there!!!
