Pretty tame New Years this year. Went to my friend Gabe's house for a fried turkey. He almost set his garage on fire in the process!!

Went up north last weekend to see my parents and nephew. Man that kid is fun! He loves his uncle "Bi-cal"! Also met with an attorney to have my dad's land and house transferred into my name. We are doing this to someday prevent the state from getting there grubby hands all over it in case my dad ever got to the point where he can't take care of my mom and she has to go into a nursing home. I guess this makes me a grown up now!

Split national champs. Good! Big blow to the crappy BCS. Hopefully a playoff system can be realized soon.

Going to the Penguins-Wild game tomorrow night. Young Fleury is going to start so I'm really excited. It's been a rough year for the Pens with Mario out again. This man just can't catch a break. If he wasn't so cursed with injuries he would be breathing down Gretzky's records right now. Oh well. I should be used to it by now. Also meeting a guy from Madison, WI who is coming for the game. I know him from a Penguins message board that we both post on. This makes the second guy I've met on this board. The internet make the world seem so small!
