How did I forget to mention in my last post about Dale Jr.'s win in the Daytona 500! What a race! I left Duluth Sunday morning after our excellent week of hockey to head up north to my buddies house. He was having a Daytona 500 party. What a blast! He's a HUGE Dale Earnhardt/Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. He probably has around $35,000 worth of diecast cars of the two. And that's not a lie. Junior is one of my favorite drivers (him and Rusty of course!) so I definately had a good time watching him win the race. Funny story: Saturday while we were in Duluth I bought a brand new Budweiser hat that Jr and his crew wears. I wear it up to Jared's house and shockingly he hadn't gotten it yet. Junior hadn't let much during the race. I had gotten up to go the bathroom and had put my hat down. When I come back Jared has my hat on. He tells me is trying to see if it helps Junior's luck. Of course, within 10 minutes of putting my hat on, Junior starts creeping towards the front. Immediately he asks me how much I want for the hat. I tell him it's not for sale. After about four more attempts I tell him that if Junior wins the race, then I'll sell it to you (thinking that Junior was too favored to win the race in order to win the race). The rest of course is history. I should have told him the price was going to go up with 5 laps to go but I didn't. I was too caught up in the race and was more than happy to sacrifice a hat in order to see Junior win. So Monday morning I had to go through Duluth again to buy another hat!

Getting reved up for baseball to start. Was really looking forward to watching the Cubs opening day game on WGN, but of course it's being televised on FoxSportsNet Chicago, which we don't get! GRRRRRRRR!

Heading to Rochester this weekend for Kristin's birthday with her family. Should be fun. I provided the food. About a month ago I won a 6ft long party sub from Subway on the radio. I get the certificate for it and it says it's only good until the end of April so I had to figure out when I could use it. Perfect timing with Kristin's mom having people over for her birthday.
