Well......now that I have a brief chance to take a breath!!!

Finished my first term at St. Scholastica last week. Not much of a break though as I started another one right away this Monday. The last three weeks have been a blur. I was very busy finishing up projects for class. Got my grades today: 4.0 so far. Not sure if it will last because I've got some pretty challenging classes coming up after this term. It was nice to start off on the right foot though!

The first weekend of October I went up to Orr, MN to my buddy's cabin. He unfortunately couldn't come but his dad still let us use the joint. He didn't want to mess with tradition! It was cold and cloudy, but it was still a good time!

Spent the next two weekends doing homework. Kristin (god bless her through all of this) left with Madison to give me a quiet place to get my papers and projects done before the last week of the term. Lived on caffeine that weekend as I worked on my paper for about 15 hours!! Yuk!

Last weekend I figured I would go up to my parent's house as I didn't have any homework since the term was over. Spent some time with Alex which was fun. Mom might have to have another surgery though due to another pressure wound. The doctor said they had two weeks to try and get it better. This one wasn't as bad as the first one she had, but pressure wouds freak me out since it was an infected pressure wound that lead to the death of Christopher Reeve. Also had to break the news to my dad that I wouldn't be able to deer hunt this season because of school. He understood, but I could sense a little dissapointment in his voice. I know how much he looks forward to deer season every year. I did tell him that if he manages to get one, I'll squeeze in a weekend to help him process it.

Red Sox win! Although it was nice to see, I'm kinda bummed. As a Cubs fan, I no longer have anybody to share my misery with!

Election in five days. Thank god! I'm so sick of hearing these two adults bicker like little kids. I just want it over with. Please everybody vote! People died to give you this right....use it!!
